How to Fix Faulty Key Repairs
A broken key fob can make your life miserable. Fortunately, fixing these issues is easy with the right tools and steps.
Before you begin any repairs, you must always be sure to ground yourself to eliminate static electricity. It only takes a second and is a good practice when working with electronics in general.

It's easy to take car keys for granted until they stop working or break at the most inconvenient time. If you're trying to open the trunk of your vehicle to buy groceries, unlocking your doors to go somewhere, or driving your car and heading to work, keys for cars can be extremely frustrating when they do not work.
Over time, keys to cars can be subjected to the effects of wear and wear and tear. Another possibility for a non-functioning key fob is that it has become un-paired with the vehicle. When you push the button on a key fob, it sends a code to the car, which tells it what it is trying to accomplish. If the key fob is not paired, it will no longer recognize the vehicle, and won't allow you to start the engine.
If you're unable to get your key fob back to be paired with the car, it's time to call an expert locksmith or dealer technician. Unresponsive Keys

Another possibility is that the key is simply broken. Each key switch is composed of two circuits, and they may wear out over time until the point that they cannot longer register a press. If this is the case the best choice is to replace the entire keyboard, as it will likely no longer perform as it should.
If you've gone through all of these fixes, but the keyboard still doesn't respond then it's time to have your laptop or external keyboard inspected by an expert. There could be a physical problem with the membrane that covers your keyboard, or it could be because one of the keys has become damaged.
